How do we explain that the repetition of an unsuccussed remedy (high potency), could lead to no clinical response, whilst the clinical response is kept if you succuss the remedy bottle every time? If the remedy is taken in granules and the clinical reaction stops, make it liquid, succuss it every time and the clinical effect reappears.

      The answer of Andrea Dei

AD: The succussion is necessary because it provides the transfer of metasilicate anions from the glass wall to the solution. These anions are necessary for stabilizing the nanoparticles: the images obtained with electronic microscopy are rather clear in this context. Experimental data reported by Witt (2006) are well consistent with this suggestion, since the efficiency of the remedy is lost if the walls of the glass container are isolated with paraffin. It is important to stress that succussion does not involve an energy transfer, as postulated by Hahnemann and erroneously believed by many homeopaths. This idea contrasts with basic thermodynamics, since a negative entropy change should be involved.

        The answer of Francesco Macrì

FM: I believe that there are reasons connected with chemical properties of vehicle or recipients, but I’m not an expert in this field.
