Are the CDs of water an hypothesis or have they found some experimental confirmation? Are they stable entities?
The answer of Andrea Dei
AD: Clathrate domains are formed when the interaction of water molecules with a guest molecule (e.g. a dioxygen molecule) is less favourable than the self-interaction between the water molecules themselves. There are the crystal structures of clathrates. This does not mean that the resonant clathrated domains hypothesis holds. The hypothesis has been formulated by the Del Giudice for the satisfaction of his homeopath brother. The NMR data collected by Michel, Demangeat and Enzo Tiezzi (25 years ago) are consistent with CD, but the connection with Del Giudice hypothesis is speculative. The data can be also consistent with other hypotheses. In addition as I have reminded to Enzo 25 years ago that the significance of the results can be quenched by the presence of few manganese (II) ions coming from the wall of the NMR tube.
